| Sumario: | Each year cardiovascular disease are gaining a prominent role for its steady growth and mortality. Among the most used therapies for the treatment of these diseases there are the K vitamin chelating oral anticoagulants. Several factors can modify the biological response to oral anticoagulants among those pathologies such as diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia and atherosclerosis and the lifestyle and the sensitivity of each individual. For this reason this therapy requires continuous monitoring and individual doses adjustment. This process is routinely performed by the International Normalized Coagulation Ratio (INR). In this context, the objective of this study is to identify the factors that has influence on the stability of the International Normalized Coagulation Ratio (INR) in the therapeutic monitoring of patients' oral anticoagulants. It was characterized as an observational cross-sectional study, performed in a cardiology clinic located in the centre of the state of Rio Grande do Sul in the year 2018. A sample of 32 individuals of both genders using anticoagulant or warfarin was choose by convenience. The participants had an average age of 60.3 years, ranging from 34 to 89 years old, being the majority male (53.1%), white (81.3%), married (50%), , 5%). When correlating INR values with quality of life, feeding, drug interaction, it was observed that the factors listed did not significantly influence the results. These results suggest that the quality of the care and follow-up of the users may be the factor that contributes the most to the maintenance of stable results in the INR. |
