Descripción
Sumario:This article presents reflections on borders, territory, territorialization and public policies, in particular health policy, in the Brazil-Paraguay border region. It compiles partial results of the research “Intersectoral network of Public Policies”, which address the potentialities and societal transformations, from the perspective of the territory and territorialities of the Brazilian and Paraguayan border. This scenario was played out by the development of the Bioceanic Road Corridor, whose process signals qualitative changes for the population of south matogrossense. While strategies for integration between countries are reaffirmed and constructed, given the new demands and configurations of the current world scenario, the need to respond to identified social demands is also emerging. Stands out the importance of public policies for access and assistance to the population is highlighted, such as heath, work, social assistance and education, seeking the solidity and constitution of transnational policies that can strengthen the region and its populations. The search for consolidation of an integrated territory is configured, which values its territoriality built from the identity, resistance and struggles of its people. The on ongoing transformations translate the population’s desire for a more egalitarian development.
