| Sumario: | The aim of this study is to analyze the skills of the Individual Microentrepreneur, so that from this characterization that it should be possible to identify his or her profile, as well as clarify his or her economic, productive and social reality. The research is classified as an exploratory field. The techniques used in the collection have been interviewed and observed one hundred and forty Microentrepreneurs from nine cities in Rio Grande do Sul that participated in the study. Three aspects were sought: the competence that Microentrepreneur believed to be the most important for the operation of his or her business; the competence that it had in evidence; and at last, the competence in which it had greater difficulty. From the results obtained, it is understandable that the features and concepts used in research that address MEI, often, do not comply with the reality faced by those workers. Thus, it is possible to emphasize the importance of the discussion of public policies that deal with enhancements to the MEI, however, it is believed that this could only be possible, if the context of precariousness of those subjects is taken into account. |
