description The present essay has a theoretical-bibliographical character, where it is visited and reviewed part of the work of the Italian sociologist Domenico De Masi. His concept of creative idleness allies three activities in the same time: work, education and leisure. The author considers that the creative idleness will be the dominant form of daily living for those who will be successful in the post-industrial societies, which have as center the production of services, with focus on creativity, emotionalism and it is sought a new education, for the spare time, instead of being in a hegemonic way for work. To this idea arise diverse critical questions, that makes us realize that society might not be yet living this new form of work proposed by the Italian author. Would it be possible to live the creative idleness facing the current changes in the world of work that make it more and more flexible, precarious and uncertain? The new forms of work show that the number of unemployed people is increasing, generating, thus, the susceptibility for kinds of flexible, stressful work, with precarious conditions. Considering this reality of the flexible capital accumulation’s world of work, the creative idleness of De Masi becomes structurally an unattainable promise. Here is the central axis of this essay.

Su concepto de ocio creativo alía tres actividades en un solo tiempo: trabajo, educación y recreo. El autor considera que el ocio creativo será la forma dominante de vivencia de lo cotidiano para aquellos que tendrán éxito en las sociedades pos-industriales, que tienen como centro la producción de servicios, con foco en la creatividad, emotividad y se busca una nueva educación, para el tiempo libre, en lugar de ser hegemónicamente para el trabajo. A esta idea surgen cuestionamientos críticos diversos, que hacen percibir que la sociedad quizás aún no estaría vivenciando esta nueva forma de trabajo propuesta por el autor italiano. ¿Sería posible vivir el ocio creativo delante los actuales cambios vigentes en el mundo de trabajo que toman cada vez más flexible, precario e incierto? Las nuevas formas de trabajo vienen mostrando que cada vez más personas están desempleadas, generando, entonces, la susceptibilidad para tipos de trabajos flexibles, desgastantes y con condiciones precarias. Llevándose en consideración esta realidad del mundo de trabajo de acumulación flexible del capital, el ocio creativo de De Masi tornase estructuralmente una promesa irrealizable. He aquí el eje central de este ensayo.O presente ensaio tem caráter teórico-bibliográfico, onde revisa-se criticamente parte da obra do sociólogo italiano Domenico De Masi. Seu conceito de ócio criativo alia três atividades em um só tempo: trabalho, educação e lazer. De Masi considera que o ócio criativo será a forma dominante de vivência do cotidiano para aqueles que terão êxito nas sociedades pós-industriais, que têm como centro a produção de serviços, com foco na criatividade, emotividade e se busca uma nova educação, para o tempo livre, ao invés de ser hegemonicamente para o trabalho. Diante disso, surgem alguns questionamentos críticos que fazem perceber que a sociedade talvez não esteja vivenciando esta nova forma de trabalho proposta pelo autor italiano. Seria possível viver o ócio criativo diante das atuais mudanças vigentes no mundo do trabalho, que o tornam cada vez mais flexível, precário e incerto? As novas formas de trabalho vêm mostrando que cada vez mais pessoas estão desempregadas, gerando, então, a susceptibilidade para tipos de trabalho flexíveis, instáveis, desgastantes e sob condições precárias. Levando-se em consideração esta realidade do mundo do trabalho de acumulação flexível do capital, o ócio criativo de De Masi torna-se estruturalmente uma promessa irrealizável.
