Descrição
Resumo:Green patents are conceptualized as a type of invention or utility model that contribute to the mitigation of environmental impacts related to the concepts of sustainable technologies. This article addresses a study of technological monitoring of green patents, with the objective of generating information to support the survey of the current state of the art in the national scenario, through the INPI's Green Patents Program, identifying the profile and the most required areas. Having as a methodology the analysis of patents from the Green Patents Program in status of admitted application and process granted in the period between 2012 and May 2021. As a result, it was identified that the technological areas that stand out are the areas of chemistry and mechanical engineering, which together they represent 82% of the total analyzed green patents. Finally, given the sparse number of articles on INPI's priority processing programs, further research is suggested to disseminate them and demonstrate their benefits.
