Resumo:The article presents a brief analysis of peasant agriculture in the Ituqui Settlement Project, but precisely in the Nova Vitória community, highlighting the way of production of agroextractivist products and the way of living of its residents. The present work was developed through a bibliographical survey and field research, where an in locus observation was obtained to obtain accurate information on the subject. The settlement is located in the municipality of Santarém, meso-region of Baixo Amazonas, State of Pará, in Vicinal A, on the Santarém-Curuá-uma Highway (PA 370). The settlers of this community develop their production in the midst of a lack of adequate structure and technical support, living in precarious conditions, and the products grown are sufficient for their own consumption and their families, but not to meet the basic needs of this population . It is concluded, therefore, that the Nova Vitória community is a place where peasant agriculture is visible, and production occurs in the midst of precariousness, mainly because there is no appropriate support for the development of this activity. However, the cultivated products, the raising of animals and the extractive activity are factors that add up to the income of the settlers of the mentioned place, as well as, contribute for the survival of the same and their relatives.
