| Resumo: | This study aims to analyze the narratological elements in the screenplay of Bacurau (2019), in dialogue with its homonymous film work by Kleber Mendonça Filho and Juliano Dornelles. It provides a relevant investigation into the scripting language used to guide the construction of dialogues that challenge narrative and aesthetic boundaries, bringing forth reflections on space in its transgressive function. The intention is to interpret the presences that imply sociopolitical conflicts. We aspire to comprehend how scripted narrativity represents space while constructing a complex narrative that engages with contemporary sociopolitical issues. Through an approach grounded in theoretical studies of literary, cinematic, and spatial nature, we seek to unveil the multiple layers of meaning present in the narratives. In undertaking this endeavor, we aim to contribute to the deepening of the debate and understanding of the hybridization between literature and cinema, as well as the appreciation and analysis of the artistic expression that stimulates this encounter: screenwriting. |
