| Resumo: | The current Master’s dissertation aims to present the journey of Krenyê – an indigenous people who have been historically displaced from their territory. This situation has caused several and diversified processes of territorializations and new displacements that, however, were not able to settle the meaning of territory – which is printed on Krenyê’s ways of creating, making and living. Thus, this work aims to analyze these different processes, which have marked the history of Krenyê people, and to identify how they have built tecituras through the different paths traveled. The goal is to emphasize that despite the dispossession suffered by them, generating many kinds of violence, the Krenyê were redefining their processes by they own. This point led them to assert their struggle for recognition and their resistance, claiming to the nation-state, and in the state of Maranhao, their territorial rights as Krenyê people |
