description From the symbolism of a train path, which represents the Bragantina region in the northeast of the State of Pará, is woven an account of the agricultural science development and higher education in agriculture in the Amazon, and the approach to the paradigm of Agroecology, with emphasis in the State of Pará. The creation of Agroecological Studies Nuclei (NEAs) is analyzed, considering the specificities of a set of NEAs of the State of Pará. In an effort of systematisation, the experience of these nuclei was integrated with information about their trajectory, from the results collected in an agroecological caravan held in June 2017, in two routes which traveled 11 municipalites of Northeaste Pará. A striking feature of the NEAs of this region is the character of network performance, characterized by joint activities in various modalities of action, which must be maintained and expanded in the future.

O marco da criação de Núcleos de Estudos em Agroecologia (NEAs) é analisado, considerando as especificidades de um conjunto de NEAs do estado do Pará.
