Para ello, ve la necesidad de dejar definitivamente de lado la discusión sobre cuestiones impuestas por la tradición, "desprovincializar" la teología del reformador y buscar los elementos de la misma que sean capaces de conectarse globalmente y contribuir para la comprensión del ser humano y de Dios, tronándose, así, de provecho para la sociedad moderna.A palestra de Hans-Martin Barth pretende colocar a teologia de Martim Lutero no contexto global da história do pensamento humano e das grandes religiões.
