Unos meses antes, había jurado como director de la institución, una de las más prestigiosas en el campo de la danza en el país. Desde su fundación en 1968, ha sido la primera vez que un hombre negro se hace cargo. Por supuesto, la invitación al prestigioso puesto no debe nada al hecho de que Ismael Ivo es negro, su nombre es un sello distintivo en el campo de la danza.Apresentamos a seguir a entrevista feita com o bailarino Ismael Ivo em 2017 na sede do Balé da Cidade de São Paulo. Poucos meses antes, ele fora empossado diretor da instituição, uma das mais prestigiosas no campo da dança no país. Desde sua fundação, em 1968, foi a primeira vez que um homem negro assumiu sua direção.
