| Resumo: | The experience of the world of work under the last civic-military dictatorship has represented an essential topic of debate in Argentine historiography. Recent studies, however, have focused almost exclusively on the workers' experience linked to union-class militancy and, consequently, on the repression suffered by the disappeared workers. This essay tackles the experience of the so-called "common worker" under dictatorship. Far from the conflicting and oppositional narratives, the case that is illustrated accounts for the forms that configure the "cultural acceptance" of the authoritarian government and the repudiation of the guerrilla militancy. Through the analysis of oral sources, the imaginary, memory and history of the labor sector that accepted the dictatorship is reconstructed. This essay analyzes the case of the working community of Fiat Concord. |
