| Sumario: | This philosophical essay aims to present a reflection on spirituality in the martial context. For this, first, a brief interpretation of the film “Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter... and Spring”, by Korean filmmaker Kim Ki Duk, will be performed, seeking to problematize some relationships regarding cinema, spirituality and martial arts, especially in dimension of inner combat and self-improvement that this film presents. Later, there will be a discussion about spirituality and its relationship with the body in the martial context, seeking to expose the mystical dimension of unity with the whole at the expense of an individuality centered on itself. Elements that denote a sacred and metaphysical character in the martial context will also be explained, namely: the subtle body, the rituals and the particularly spiritualized relationship between the master and the learners. |
