description This article is based on the studies of Cavalcante (1994), Ávila-Nóbrega (2010), Barros (2012) involving multimodality in language acquisition under an interactionist look, in this bias, a language acquisition is acquired from an interaction social, in which the main interlocutor is the mother, this relationship is called dyad, that is, the child will develop a language from the communicative interaction with an adult. Multimodal in language acquisition assumes that gestures and speech are inseparable (McNEILL 1985) and are in the same production matrix which are constituted by a single linguistic system. We adopt the gestural typology proposed by McNeill and Levy (1982) and we give special emphasis to the deictic gesture, these gestures are demonstrative or directional and generally available by the index finger. Another important element in this study is the prosody, to classify it we start from the proposal of Barros (2012) that seeks to account for children's linguistic productions and developing a proposal for a vocal continuum that includes babbling, jargon, holophrases and utterances. Our objective is to understand how a gestuo-vocal synchrony is structured in adult-child interactions as a space for multimodal functioning. For this study to be possible, analyzing the data using the ELAN program that allows the creation of annotations, editing, visualization and search for annotations through video and audio data simultaneously, thus, it was possible to analyze the multimodal aspects in this acquisition process. The data prove a synchrony between holophrases and gestures, especially with deictic gestures.

Nesse viés, a aquisição da linguagem se dá a partir de uma interação social, na qual o interlocutor principal é a mãe, esta relação é denominada por díade, ou seja, a criança irá desenvolver a linguagem a partir da interação comunicativa com um adulto. A perspectiva multimodal na aquisição da linguagem pressupõe que os gestos e a produção vocal são indissociáveis (McNEILL 1985) constituindo um único sistema linguístico. Adotamos a tipologia gestual proposta por McNeill e Levy (1982) e damos especial ênfase ao gesto dêitico, o apontar. Outro elemento importante neste estudo é a prosódia, para classificá-la partimos da proposta de Barros (2012) que busca dar conta das produções linguísticas infantis e desenvolve uma proposta de contínuo vocal que engloba balbucio, jargão, holófrases e blocos de enunciado. Nosso objetivo é compreender como se estrutura a sincronia gestuo-vocal nas interações adulto-criança como espaço de funcionamento multimodal. Para que esse estudo fosse possível, analisamos os dados utilizando o programa ELAN que possibilita a criação de anotações, edição, visualização e busca de anotações através de dados de vídeo e áudio simultaneamente, assim, foi possível analisar os aspectos multimodais nesse processo aquisicional.
