| Summary: | Discussion on gender issues in media artifacts has gained relevance in recent years. This research looks at the visual changes incorporated by the series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (2018) compared to its original, She-Ra: The Princess of Power (1985), concerning the development of a visual culture linked to gender issues. We sought to understand how these debates are triggered, through a thematic analysis of the plots, the main characters, and their bodies. Four categories emerged as a result: Gender performances; Intersectional issues; Bodily diversity; Dissident sexualities. |
