| Summary: | In this paper, we investigate the referenciation strategies used for elaborating referents in verbal-imagistic texts. We start from the assumption that speech referents can also be approved and evoked via imagery semiosis. This way, we analyze a sample composed by four verbal-imagistic texts, according to the following steps: i) identification of thematized referents and description of referential processes involved in the construction of these referents; ii) analysis of the role of verbal and imagery semiosis in the referenciation process. The analysis results are suggestive for the validation of the assumed hypothesis, noting that recategorization process is a very productive strategy for building referents in verbal-imagistic texts. |
