| Sumario: | The present study aims to evaluate the risk factors related to mental fatigue in Brazilian Air Force fighter pilots and to outline the profile of this population. Data from 58 pilots were analyzed, collected through the application of a sociodemographic questionnaire, the Fatigue Feeling Scale, the DASS-21, the WHOQOL BREF and the IPAQ-short. The main results revealed that satisfaction with the social domain and high levels of anxiety are risk factors for the development of mental fatigue among pilots (p < 0.05). In contrast, satisfaction with the psychological domain proved to be a significant protective factor (p < 0.001). Fighter pilots face considerable risks of mental fatigue and understanding the contributing factors to this state is crucial for the development of effective fatigue risk management strategies within this population. |
