Sumario:The project objective was to evaluate the productivity and quality of sorghum silage (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) single and intercropped with Brachiaria brizantha (sin Urochloa brizantha) cv. Marandu; and pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan) cv. BRS Mandarin. The experiment was conducted at the Experimental Farm of the University of West Paulista - UNOESTE located in the municipality of Presidente Bernardes, SP, from December 2014 to May 2015. The experimental design was factorial on tracks 2 x 4, with four replications. The treatments consisted of two row spacings sorghum (0.45 and 0.90 m), combined with four types of crops (sorghum single T1, T2 sorghum intercropped with grass Marandu T3 sorghum intercropped with pigeon pea (cv. BRS Mandarin) and T4 sorghum intercropped with grass Marandu + pigeon pea (cv. BRS Mandarin)). The variables evaluated were: height of sorghum; diameter of sorghum stalk; sorghum number of sheets; proportion / sorghum / pigeon pea beans / Marandu grass silage; green mass productivity (GMP) and dry matter (DMP); chemical analysis of silage. Fitomassas were collected at 150 days after sowing for quantification of plant material and chemical analysis. The data were submitted to SISVAR statistical program, and the averages compared by Tukey test at 5% probability. Most GMP occurred in spacing 0,45 m, for sorghum single and when intercropped with grass Marandu and pigeon pea (triple intercrop). The spacing between the lines sorghum influence the test results. Sorghum intercropped with grass Marandu and pigeon pea in an average increase in crude protein content of 27% before and 22% silage after ensiling in relation to the single sorghum.
