| Resumo: | The constant advances of information technology, and its insertion in the Archival Science, boosted the production of digital archival documents, and to safeguard this heritage, it became necessary to implement policies and digital preservation strategies. In this context, chose to study the emulation strategies in order to increase knowledge of its advantages and disadvantages, based on the literature review of previously published materials. After a qualitative analysis, we discuss: dependent of hardware and software specific, content reliability, financial resources and planning. The results show a scenario of uncertainty due to the absence of studies on emulation to preserve long-term. |
