| Sumario: | The 2021 notice of the National Textbook Program, the first providing for integrated collections for Natural Sciences, did not bring explicit recommendations on the importance of the historical contextualisation of content, although the current educational legislation indicates it. Considering the relevance of textbooks as a reference for teachers and students, as well as the recurrence of the Robert Hooke and cell theme in academic works related to the didactic insertion of the History of Science, we present the results of the detailed analysis of the presence of this theme in the collections approved in the PNLD 2021. We observed, on the one hand, sparse mentions of historical elements, distortions, and pseudo-historical narratives and, on the other, robust historical-philosophical approaches based on recent historiography. |
