| Sumario: | In this visual essay, I propose, through an ethnoarchaeological approach, to analyze the objects involved in the initiation ritual of Manu Pontes in Ilé Asé Oluorogbo Nago (the house of Axé Nagô whose strength comes from Orishas of rain) in Pelotas / RS, which will form, at the end of the ritual process, material beings sources of asé (life force). Thus, I seek to build an ethnography of the objects involved in the ritual following the approach of the new animism, building new perspectives on the objects in nagô cult. |
