| Sumario: | This text presents and discusses the encounter of a researcher in psychology with a Guarani M'byá indigenous land, located in the north of the state of Santa Catarina. The theoretical-methodological assumptions, inspired by ethnography and Bakhtin's perspective of dialogic discourse analysis, enabled the encounter experience in which alterity is recognized in the production of knowledge in research. We understand that the Guarani M'byá memories, although surviving erasure processes, remain being practiced in relation to the territory, incorporated and occurring in a condition of movement. As a result of the experience carried out with vestiges, we recognize different faces of coloniality that reaffirms itself contemporaneously and confrontations with westernized ways of living. We identified the need for psychology to move away from the Eurocentric view. And, finally, from the contact with the ways of life of the Guarani people, we point out some clues for a human future. |
