Translation and sociolinguistics: theoretical considerations on translating dialects

The aim of this paper is to a connection between translation and Sociolinguistics to underpin examination of theoretical concepts on dialect translation, describing how different theoretical perspectives deal with problems and implications regarding the use of dialect in literary texts.
