Descripción
Sumario:This study analyzes the lithic assemblage of Matão 01, Alto Araçuaí, MG. To this end, 780 lithics were analyzed by operative chains, the necessary tool for our inferences about the past. This research aimed to discuss design of the study of this material in a site with occupations younger than 4200 years BP. In other words, it aimed to show that interpretation goes beyond the idea that this technology only meets economic needs, i.e., the artefacts were produced in accordance with the sociocultural conduct of the society that manufactured them, in which they serve as a tool for many purposes.
