Descrição
Resumo:This paper will discuss how the BRICS was formed, the particularities of its members and what were its objectives. The central argument is that the economic crisis of 2008 served as an impetus for the emergence and consolidation of the BRICS as a new pole of global power capable of claiming, mainly through its joint declarations and pressure in the G20, greater representation in the IMF, the Bank And in the architecture of the international financial system as a whole. We will analyze how the subprime economic crisis affected the economies of the BRICS, how they reacted and investigated how the bloc achieved power projection to the point of being considered one of the main political and economic arrangements of today and an important pole of influence in international relations.
