Description
Summary:Mediastinal hemangiomas are rare intrathoracic lesions, representing approximately 0.5% of all mediastinal tumors. Generally, they present in the first four decades of life. The tumor described in this case report was diagnosed in an asymptomatic 30-year-old woman, incidentally on a chest x-ray. It is an extremely rare tumor, which falls in the differential diagnosis of primary mediastinal tumors, whose treatment is surgical. Diagnostic approach and therapeutic strategy are discussed.
