| Resumo: | Conservation Units, nowadays, have been the main conservationist stratagem of the state of Amazonas used for the reproduction of Amazonian ecosystems. In this sense, the objective of this article was to analyze the territorial management of the Igapó Açu Sustainable Development Reserve and its developments in the environmental governance of this Conservation Unit (CU). This Protect Area has a territorial peculiarity when compared to the other UC of the Amazonas state. A federal road crosses it, the BR-319. This peculiarity reveals the importance of territorial management analysis, considering the myriad interests and social actors involved. Then, to reach the proposed objective, several methodological instruments were used, such as the application of forms, open interviews, and the construction of the SWOT Matrix. It can be inferred, after the analysis of the data, that obstacles and conflicts exist and they must need to be mitigated, however, the positive points are more expressive than the negative ones. This way it is evidencing the importance of CU’s to environmental policy in Amazonas state. Keywords: Management. Territory. Potentiality. |
