Descrição
Resumo:The main objective of this study was to investigate the institutionalization of an Undergraduate Dissertation in the Music Education Program at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS) over its 20 years of existence. For this purpose, documental research was employed, utilizing university publications and Undergraduate Dissertations produced during the studied period. The findings revealed a gradual structuring of this component within the Pedagogical Project of the Course, indicating the significance attributed to this stage of education. There was an observed increase in the number of hours, the incorporation of auxiliary components, and a heightened integration with the research field. The study highlights the need to maintain Undergraduate Dissertation in future revisions of the Pedagogical Project of the Course, aiming to integrate undergraduate subjects, encourage research practice, and emphasize study objects of interest to students, according to their profile. It is hoped that the results will contribute to reflection on imminent new adaptations in the Pedagogical Project of the Course and encourage further studies on the topic.
