Descripción
Sumario:At the moment, the many questions concerning the protection that has to be provided by the Social Security due to the decadence of the welfare state are evident. The economic recession has reached the social protection system, due to its current lack of resources, considering the disproportion between contributors and beneficiaries caused by unemployment, instability, the progressive aging of the population and the search for alternative forms of remunerated employment. A comparative study between Spain and Brazil regarding the social protection of the self-employed, as a classical example of atypical and unstable work, through a bibliographical research, is relevant and beneficial for both systems.
