Descripción
Sumario:This experience report, written by a teacher from the municipal education network of Belo Horizonte in the state of Minas Gerais, is the result of a project developed and applied during the Specialization Course in Teaching Residency at the Pedagogical Center of the Federal University of Minas Gerais. The main objective of the project was to understand which contributions the proposal with games could offer to the group of students in the early years of elementary school in order to reduce the gap in learning. The idea of games was chosen because it was suspected that children needed more attractive and interactive classes. The work was carried out between September and November 2019, three times a week, lasting 50 minutes a day. Multiple playful activities were proposed, including a bingo of ini-tial sounds, rhyming games, letter changing, a bingo of first letters and word within a word. The analyzes showed the meaning and importance of games for children who experience the initial process of learning to read and write.
