| Sumario: | This article deals with the economic foundation of the criticaltheory presented by Guy Debord in “The society of the spectacle” (1967). Atthis point, the fundamental thesis of this theory is that advanced capitalismwould have dominated the crisis tendencies through State action. This actionwould not express the autonomy of politics over the economy, but rather theautonomous movement of the fetishist economy acting consciously in the State.Following Debord, the article tries to show how this theoretical conceptionretakes the philosophical terms of Rosa Luxemburg and Eduard Bernstein’sdebate on the capitalist crisis, in the beginning of the 20th century, positioningitself in regard to this issue in a very unique way. |
