Descrição
Resumo:The 2013 June Journeys represent an insurgent, multi-scale, networked odyssey in recent Brazilian history. This study reflects on the immanence of the network in the organization of an insurgent action, based on a case study about the 2013 June Journeys in Brazil. The categories subject, object, social mobilization, network, and device are used in order to address the configurations of the networks in face of insurgent practices. We found that, in this typology of movements, the network functions as an interactional device composed of contingent arrangements that permeate and simultaneously surpass the initial longings of a protest. Therefore, the network thickens mobilized ties and constitutive pieces of insurgent drawings between facts, narratives and ideas that are combined in the claiming event.
