Descrição
Resumo:An integrative review which aims to discuss the findings of publications indexed in data banks during the period 1999 to 2009 on the subject of interactions between drugs and enteral nutrition administered by catheters. The search was undertaken in November-December 2009 using the MedLine, Lilacs and Scielo data banks. The final sample consisted of seven articles, dominated by research pointing out alterations in bioavailability and absorption of medications caused by the concomitant administration of enteral nutrition. Most of the articles were conclusive in relation to the interactions, which were demonstrated by the harm caused to patients receiving both medication and enteral nutrition at the same time.
