Descrição
Resumo:The objective of the study was to understand some of the elements that have redefined the environmental and safety relations of an extreme risk activity, such as high mountain sports climbing, in the context of the risk society. In methodological terms, this work was developed from an exploratory, bibliographic and documentary study. Through the information gathered, we concluded that although the human being developed technologies to increase climbing practice safety, these were not sufficient to overcome the climate unpredictability that the scientific-technological advance itself helped to potentiate in the context of reflexive modernization.
