| Sumario: | The who (world health organization), estimates that there are aboutone billion overweight adults worldwide, and that obesity is multifactorial disease. Leptin is adipokine that acts as a thermostast regulating hunger, and that may change in people with overwheigth and physical exercice adepts. Objective: to seek to know the effects of leptin on obesity and its possible changes when in physical exercice. Literature review: obesity is an accumulation of fat tissue throught the body, beign or genetic, or endocrine-metabolic related to dietary intake. Adipose tissue can secrete substances such as interleukin-6, adiponectin, tumor necrosis factor alpha, leptin and some sex hormones. Some adipokines are related white the rise of chronic diseases. Leptin is elevated in obesity people, fact that may be associated with failure of the receptors in the hypothalamus. Exercice combined with a negative caloric balance may alter the plasmatic leptin levels. Conclusion: there is disagreement among some be associated with the work procedures that require possible modifications. |
