Descrição
Resumo:This paper touches on the current phenomenon of work platformization in a context of accelerated incorporation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). Supported by bibliographical and documentary research, it demonstrates, by historical-dialectic materialism, the origin and historical determinants of the technologies that influenced the emergence of digital platforms. It then addresses the consequences for the working class corroborated by changes in protective labor legislation. It also demonstrates, with regard to the dialectical relationship, the power that the development of productive forces has to reduce the production process by increasing working hours and intensifying the work rhythm, precisely through the introduction of new technological devices. It is stated that the present time exponentiates the paradox of technological advances that were once unimaginable, juxtaposed with the brutal exploitation and precariousness of work with the explosion of informality and entrepreneurship.
