| Summary: | The study aimed to analyze the scientific production of the faculty of the Graduate Program in Genetics UFMG Program the last three years of program evaluation by CAPES. The research is a bibliographic descriptive in nature and had a quantitative approach. Techniques were employed bibliometric and scientometric to assist in measuring the productivity of researchers. The universe of study was composed of 23 teachers who are part of the permanent staff of PGGENÉTICA / UFMG. To analyze the scientific production, they were raised to bibliographic production of each researcher in the Lattes Platform. After the removal of each type of publication, it was decided to further exploring the journal articles and abstracts published in conference proceedings, being more numerous among the publications of the researchers. The results revealed the following regarding the scientific production of researchers: were published in the 2010-2012 period, 969 papers, 77 presentations of work; 433 Full papers published in journals; 24 chapters of books published; 6 published books; 427 Abstracts published in conference proceedings; and 2 Complete works published in conference proceedings. 433 articles have been published in 246 different journals, with 210 international and 36 national journals. 427 Abstracts published in conference proceedings were distributed in 105 scientific events, 70 events held in the national territory and 35 internationally. The keywords preferred by investigators were classified according to the Descriptors in Health Sciences. 2016 were raised different words and the highest incidence in Articles were the terms "Animals" and "Human" with 115 events each. With the results showed the real dimension of scientific activities developed by PGGENÉTICA / UFMG, even partially. |
