Resumo:This thesis starts, initially, from the historical conceptions of suicide, but also from its essential theoretical frameworks to think about it until the present day, pointing out the main points of theoretical twist and the discursive and behavioral effects in different cultures. Thus, we observe a history of suicide that goes from delegitimization of the subject who commits it, as well as the withdrawal of his family's rights over his assets to a certain exaltation of its event, as in the romantic movement. Thus, a thesis sought to extract as bases for a theory of suicide in the works of Freud and Lacan. In Freud's work, the metapsychology of melancholy as a paradigm for understanding the problem works. In Lacan's work, the concept of act is used as a contribution to the management of clinical cases. The distinction between acting and the passage to the act reveals how we guide cases of suicide risk so as not to think only about psychoanalytic theory. In cases of risk or attempted suicide in adolescence, the thesis points out that there are characteristics of this period of life that can produce exits through the act, among them, suicide. The thesis reveals some specificities of contemporary adolescence in which there is a rarification of narrative production about the suffering itself in young people with a correlative increase in cases that find solutions through self-harm and suicide attempts. Technological devices and the moment of virtual hyperconnection that our society is experiencing also influence such specificities, with emphasis on the increase of the short-term logic in today's ways of life, especially among pubescents. The work also proposes to dialogue with the research by Briggs et al. (2019), who point out psychoanalytic treatment as effective for care in cases where there is a risk of self-extermination. An attempt is made here to advance this survey, since the authors detect effectiveness, without, however, knowing how to justify it. The thesis indicates some particularities of the psychoanalytic clinical management of these cases, pointing out the management of transference and time as being of paramount importance in the direction of treatment. As this research shows, this marks an enrichment of these concepts already established by the Lacanian psychoanalytic literature. Based on the Lacanian notion of logical time, we question the poorly calculated use of short-term sessions to think about the relevance of extending the time to understand in cases where there is urgency and haste, giving the possibility of new elaborations so that other outlets, in addition to suicide attempts, are open to the adolescent.
