| Sumario: | This article aims to address some evidence found in the archives of the Dom João VI Museum, in Rio de Janeiro, about a purchase invoice belonging to the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts dating from 1883, with an order for unusual paint tubes, such as being by Georg Grimm. In which is established for this hypothesis the comparison of the palettes of the teachers of the Chair of Drawing and Painting of Landscape, Flowers and Animals - Vitor Meireles de Lima and João Zeferino da Costa - besides the possible relations with the painting methods employed by Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot. Culminating this evidence with others contained in the article in what I believe to be the Grimm Group palette. |
