| Sumario: | The article is set on the current communication era, in which systematic misinformation affects the credibility of the professional media. It can discuss the contributions of media literacy to rebuild the trust on the news. Reasoned on the concepts of news literacy and in the theories about the credibility and trust on the media, the piece is based on the two dimensions of credibility (the one created and the one perceived) suggested by Lisboa and Benetti (2015, 2017), to offer a third dimension (the built credibility), as a result of the process of the news literacy. On this take, it is suggested to connect two indicators that could be disconnected – credibility, from The Trust Project, and media literacy developed by Ferrés and Piscitelli (2012), - as a way of boosting journalistic credibility. |
