| Resumo: | From the critical analysis of the discourse, with collaborators from the Ibero-American region, we return to the legacy of the wanderer of utopia; the Brazilian liberating teacher who went international, showing liberation as a possible political exercise in education. Thus, Freire’s legacy in today’s Ibero-American education is investigated in the light of critical discourse analysis in the voices of its protagonists. From all the Ibero-American interviewees we have a premise: to return to Freire as the wanderer of utopia is to fly high, great kilometers in search of liberation; without turning a blind eye to the crisis. To return to Freire in his birth centenary is to spend his shoes, squeeze his heart, suffer with forgotten communities; return to this pedagogue, to feel pain in the skin of those on the margins; but, at the same time, it is having a deep faith in liberation; the potential of citizens, of countries – covered by obscure interests that are increasingly oppressive in the designation of liberators. |
