| Resumo: | This paper reports news findings of Xenarthra in a Pleistocene tank deposit from the State of Paraiba, Northeastern Brazil. It’s first recorded the specie Glyptotherium cf. cylindricum in addition to new findings of Panochthus sp. and Eremotheríum laurillardi. These records extends the distribution of some species of Xenarthra to the Brazilian Intertropical Region and the presence of Glyptotherium cf. cylindricum, suggests important biogeographical relationships between faunas of northern mammals in South America, Central America and Southern North America during the late Pleistocene. |
