| Sumario: | The article analyses the phenomenon of the SHEIN store in the consumption of ultra-fast fashion based on the effect of the programmed obsolescence of micro trends fostered by the algorithmic logic present in the digital environment. We seek to understand how these logics operate in fast fashion consumption practices in the face of the mediatized communication of the buying and wearing process from which the Chinese company benefits. Consumer interactions on social networks support the modulation of consumer behavior as a source of micro-trend obsolescence strategies. Finally, we present a map of the actions adopted in the store’s operation, which leads us to reflect on the promotion of consumption. |
