Summary:The food products consumed in children's birthday parties have history and tradition which result from the fact that have been of great acceptance marking an era. Today is at risk of disappearing, but can be resignified, as is the case of the sweets served at children's parties. The objective of this study is to understand under which aspects the senses provide support to the resignification of memories buds and its consequences in the context of celebrations. Considered one of the qualitative research type, sought to interpret data obtained through a questionnaire, with the aim of focusing the looks and impressions of survey participants, and the interviews conversadas, in addition to the exhibition of drawings and photographs. The results revealed that feelings concerning children's birthday parties, such as saudade, memories (good and bad), joy and delight are part of a personal and collective history and fall in the memories and experiences of each of the respondents, strengthening the relationship between the memories and the theme of the festivities for children.
