| Resumo: | The knowledge of climatic conditions of a region is crucial for agricultural development which is extremely important in identifying the potential for certain crops to grow under thermal conditions and water present and also subsidize the choice of irrigation technique to be adopted as the its management and operation. The climate classification system of Köppen is widely used in the identification of homogeneous climate zones, since it considers meteorological variables like of pluvial precipitation and temperature as parameters for their classification. Using the climatic database of WORLDCLIM that provides climatologic data files of precipitation and temperature in raster format with spatial resolution of 30'of arc (area approximately equal to 0.86 km ² pixel-1), interpolated to Brazil from data of national network surface weather observations from the National Institute of Meteorology - INMET, these data, present in Normals Climatological (1961-1990), published by the INMET. With the use of geoprocessing techniques, it was obtained the map of climatic classification for the Minas Gerais State. Observe that the state had 3 large main climatic groups A, B and C that correspond to the rainy tropical climate, hot dry and temperate, respectively. The classes were obtained weather Aw, Am, BSh, Cwa and Cwb. |
