| Sumario: | Review of the translation of the novel Mulheres de Cinzas, by Mia Couto, to the English language, “Women of Ashes”, translated by David Brookshaw. The book in Portuguese was published by the publisher Caminho, in 2015. The English version was published by Picador, in 2018. This review aims to analyze textual and paratextual elements of the source text as well as the target text. Furthermore, we observed the translation strategies used when dealing with particularly complex parts of the novel. |
