description This article analyzes the experience of the constitution of a trans child's identity through narratives that reveal the presence and significance of her body in early childhood education institutions. This study presents the partial results of a master's research project in the Postgraduate Program in Education at the Federal University of Santa Catarina, based on the following objectives: (1) to perceive how a trans child narrates and constitutes her gender and racial identity, (2) to understand, in processes of interactions, how she negotiates and interprets the social expectations of gender, masculine and feminine, pulsating in our culture and (3) to seize how the child signifies her infant body. The research was based on an ethnographic approach, and the results show how educational cultures differ and how the educational space is marked by transphobia about trans children, impacting interactions between them and their peers, as well as with adults. Given this, we propose a reflection on the challenge that educational institutions face in understanding and welcoming gender dissidence, promoting the rights of trans children, guaranteeing them a worthy existence, and reaffirming their citizenship as a non-negotiable human right.

El estudio presente resultados parciales de una investigación de Maestría en el Programa de Posgraduación en Educación de la Universidad Federal de Santa Catarina, pautada por los siguientes objetivos: (1) percibir como una niña trans narra y constituye su identidad racial y de género; (2) entender, a través de la interacción, como negocia e interpreta las expectativas sociales de género, masculino y femeninos, relevantes en nuestra cultura y (3) aprender como la niña significa su cuerpo infantil. La investigación es de cuño etnográfico y los resultados alcanzados tratan de cómo las culturas educativas se diferencias y como el espacio educativo es marcado por la transfobia en relación a la niñez trans, impactando las interacciones entre ellas y sus pares, así como con los adultos. Además de esto, se propone una reflexión acerca del desafío que se impone a las instituciones educativas de entender y acoger las disidencias de género promoviendo los derechos de la niñez trans, de modo de asegurarles una existencia digna y reafirmar su ciudadanía como un derecho humano innegociable.  O presente artigo realiza uma análise acerca da experiência da constituição da identidade de uma criança trans por meio de narrativas que revelam a presença e significação de seu corpo em instituições de Educação Infantil. O estudo apresenta resultados parciais de uma pesquisa de mestrado no Programa de Pós-graduação em Educação da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, pautada pelos seguintes objetivos: (1) perceber como uma criança trans narra e constitui sua identidade de gênero e racial, (2) compreender, em processos de interações, como negocia e interpreta as expectativas sociais de gênero, masculinos e femininos, pulsantes em nossa cultura e (3) apreender como a criança significa seu corpo infantil. A pesquisa pautou-se em um cunho etnográfico e os resultados alcançados tratam de como as culturas educativas se diferenciam, e como o espaço educativo é marcado pela transfobia em relação às crianças trans, impactando as interações entre elas e seus pares, bem como com os adultos.
