Sumario:The concept of Geodiversity - which emphasizes an integrated view of the abiotic and biotic elements and processes, with associated characteristics, functions and ecosystem services - is still little known and, consequently, little publicized, despite being appropriate in practice in numerous activities, such as example mountaineering in conservation units. The present research aimed to promote a better understanding of the perception of visitors about Geodiversity on trails, based on the case study of Petrópolis-Teresópolis Crossing. For this purpose, a questionnaire was prepared, which, after dissemination in various media, reached a diverse audience. The results indicate the need to advance the theme to obtain the elaboration of geotouristic and geodidactic routes with a more adequate insertion in the territory where they are proposed, in addition to reinforcing the need for a multi-scalar and geosystemic approach for these studies, which can favor a broader understanding of Geodiversity.
