description Sustainable solutions are required to reduce water consumption in buildings, among these, we highlight the use of alternative water supply sources through a reuse plan. The goal of work is to present a home system for direct reuse of household light greywater from showers, sinks, washing machine and laundry sinks, to be installed in single family residence within the city of Campo Grande - MS. To this end, we carried out i) the qualitative and quantitative characterization of greywater produced at the residence of interest, ii) studies in experimental scale model and iii) design, implementation and monitoring of water quality in the first six months. The EvapAC system, consisting of an evapotranspiration chamber (CEvap) followed by the horizontal subsurface flow constructed wetland (HSF-CW), was planted with ornamental species (Heliconia psittacorum, Hedychium coronarium, Caladium x hortulanum e Canna x generalis). In addition, there was a parallel study, conducted in a greenhouse, irrigation specific about the species ornamental Canna x generalis with greywater. It was observed that in the greenhouse plants were susceptible to stress, particularly nutritional, which may have contributed to the deleterious effect on plant growth in height, number of leaves and stem diameter and symptoms of nutrient deficiency. The EvapAC, which was monitored for 142 days, a period considered starting and adaptation, enabled the development of species of ornamental plants, which in addition to collaborate with local landscaping, may have helped to prevent clogging of the same, not requiring so, routine maintenance. No problem of acceptance and change in routine was noticed. These facts only confirm the applicability of this type of project.

No problem of acceptance and change in routine was noticed. These facts only confirm the applicability of this type of project.
