Descrição
Resumo:This paper aims to describe linguistic aspects of Fake News about COVID-19 in Portuguese, presented in governmental and non-governmental sources at the beginning of the pandemic. For the development of the research, 176 Fake News were collected from three review sites and analyzed using corpus linguistic parameters. The study followed three steps: 1) description of the most frequent words; 2) description of the topics found in the corpus; 3) morphosyntactic analysis. The results showed that the Fake News analyzed were related to health and statistics, and had some features such as spelling errors, hyperboles, specific word usage and negative sentences.
